For a few years now, my online presence has been shaky at best. I’ve maintained blogs in the past, I’ve been more active on social media, especially while I was still freelancing as a designer, though have hit a slump over the last few years. I figured now is the time to change that, with the creation of this new site. I suppose then that this post will serve as an introduction and a statement of intent, moving forward.

About Me

I’m Aidan. At the time of writing, the 22^nd of December, 2025, I am a 27 year old writer, designer, artist, and teacher based in Melbourne, Australia. By day, I am a high school art, design, and English teacher. In my spare time, I write, draw, paint, and spend far too much time thinking about wizards, swords, and dragons. I live with my two wonderful kittens, Iris and Blossom, and play guitar, bass, and keyboards- Maybe one day I’ll do something with that.

Purpose

I’ve set up this site for a few reasons:

A home for my work

I spend a lot of time writing, drawing, and generally creating, though more often than not, as soon as I finish a piece, it gets stashed away in a drawer, folder, or hard drive somewhere, and never again sees the light of day. This site, then, will serve as a home for my work, not just for myself, but for anyone interested in viewing it.  

To form some habits

My work ethic of late hasn’t been fantastic. I spend a weekend here and there writing, then barely look at a computer or notebook for weeks on end. This site is a way of holding myself accountable, forcing myself to write and create and put it out there.

To build connections

I love fantasy- I love writing fantasy stories, and creating fantasy inspired artwork, I love playing fantasy games with my friends. By putting myself and my work out there, I suppose I hope to connect with other like-minded individuals, to build friendships, and connections with creators and fans of the genres and works I love so much.

What to Expect

Off the top of my head, and this is subject to change, I intend to use this site to post a range of things:

• Fiction and Worldbuilding. I write a lot of short stories, I try to set these in the same world, and I am also tinkering with an RPG conversion of this world, for fantasy gaming. I mostly play 5E, so there’ll likely be a lot of stuff for that.
• Art. My art has struggled to find a home since I abandoned ArtStation with a lot of other artists and creators. I would like to use this site to post some of what I’m working on, both related to and separate from other projects.
• Stuff that I like. Sometimes I want to talk about stuff, so I may well use this site to share my thoughts on books I’m reading, games I’m playing, and music I’m listening to.
